Mociu Private Island (Honeymoon Island)
In 2018 we secured the lease of Mociu Island (pronounced “Moor-thiew”). A private, tiny, uninhabited island only 15 minutes boat ride from the resort, Mociu is a protected nature reserve and the waters and reef around it have been declared a marine “na tabu” by the Paramount Chief of the Mamanucas – meaning no form of fishing or shell fish collecting is allowed. Mociu Island is for the enjoyment of Ahura Resorts’ guests only and will also be used to further develop and expand our environmental initiatives including: dry forest restoration, coral/clam and other marine transplanting and preservation and other bio-diversity protection. Access to the land is by invitation only.

Mociu Snorkel
Enjoy the beauty of the vibrant Mociu fringing reef on a guided snorkelling adventure. Experience incredible marine life and colourful coral as you snorkel directly off the private beach or around the back of the island – 2hrs
Mociu Sunrise
Venture out early morning for a hike to the top of the island to take in the beauty of a Fiji sunrise.

Mociu Picnic
For some daytime private romance, enjoy a lunchtime picnic on Mociu’s private beach.

Please note: All Mociu Island activities are subject to weather, tide conditions and availability. Prices are correct at time of publishing are in Fiji Dollars and include landing fees. Extra persons up to a maximum 10 people – F$16.50pp landing fee. Prices subject to change without notice.(Available Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) Beach towels and associated equipment/set-up are provided. In addition, please ensure you bring your issued snorkel equipment, water flask, a hat and sun screen. For special events exceeding 10 people, please contact the Resort Manager.
